Dont let it fool ya!

It might look nice out here but its NOT! This is a picture i snapped about 730 this morning. Sun was just peeking out and it looks really nice out.
The temps today on the way to work were -11. Add the wind chills to that-and we are talking close to 40 below zero. All the schools are closed..many businesses to. I made it in and thru the day but i tell ya--its bone chillin. You can only be out for a few minutes and you can feel the pain of the temps. We have one more day of this--tonight is suppossed to be the worst of it. They say by noon tomorrow it should begin to warm up....lucky us we may see 7 or 8! Grab your shorts and sun bonnet and head on over! I'll light up the grill....

13 Thanks for your comments!:

This weather makes 20 degrees sound downright balmy, doesn't it?

Same here.... Couldn't get me out tonight for anything. I'm here with a cozy fire, and hot cocoa on the way!

It does look so pretty but I take your point its not really when its so cold and so difficult to get around anywhere. Stay warm. I am boiling hot here but I will get my turn for cold weather although it never snows here.

Sometimes the best pictures are taken in the most extreme locations.

As for the sound. It may just be a fan. Most PC's have a multitude of fans. While a bad fan may cause your PC to overheat and shut down, it is NOT a difficult thing to fix.

If you feel brave, open the case and turn the machine on. Try to locate the guilty party.

Computer fans can be replaced for about $5!

Some video cards have fans and they are tiny little things that cost around $3.

If the Power supply is what is making all that noise, you can replace that thing for around $30-$40. Ask your local techy teenager and give them $20 for their trouble. Just watch them to make sure they don't steal some memory.

The sound is NOT a serious problem that is impossible to resolve. Now if the hard drive is clicking like a ticking clock...then you have other issues but what you described sounds like a simple fix.

Hetick--you know ALOT! If i took the cover off this thing-I would rip it apart literally right now! I'm in menopause phase right now so I'm not "right" lol.

lol - very funny Dawnie but I think I'll pass on the barbecue even though it is going to be in the plus digits tomorrow.

I've felt so sorry for my husband who drives around in the weather all day. My son just has to worry about his car starting after it sits in the parking lot at work all day. So far, everyone has survived but it's been brutal.

I've been cozy inside...I don't have to go out until my jury duty. Please, please let's have a warm up. I would like it cold enough so it doesn't snow but warm enough so it isn't dangerous.

Stay warm my freezing friend to the north.

I can't believe all the cold weather and we are back in the 80's. Sorry! Come on over for a visit and you could really wear your shorts and sunbonnet. Stay warm! Connie

This is my first visit to your blog.
We had a unexpected white Christmas, that lasted way to long. I can't imagine how long it feels to you. How do you get out and about?
I bet you do a lot of daydreaming each time you see your banner. It's a great picture.

Sweet wishes,
sara
