Just a reminder

that summer really does exist in Wisconsin. This is me and my 3rd grandaughter Ms. Ellie last July. I love this picture of her and I. We were getting ready to empty the pool out but decided we would do it slowly and just lay on the pool and let the water run. Funny thing is--after this shot--I laid back on the back side and she went over to that yellow ball and so much water came out--she floated right out of the pool and down the grass. If you could have seen her face! She looked at me--Grandma where the H..... am I going???? I laughed so hard. Being that we still cant get much above 0 here,, this picture is reminding me of the fact that YES Wisconsin does get hot...and I'm definitely getting ready for it!

P.S. Please excuse the semi-undecent dress of myself!

Thanks for the reminder that it does get warm - even in the North. Really needed a summer photo after all the snow yesterday - and I just heard we are expecting another big one on Monday or Tuesday. Fun, fun. May cannot get hear soon enough. :)

Ya'll have had way to much frigid weather up there. We also have had very cold temps for Forida and more is on the way tomorrow. An adorable picture of both of you.

Hugs,
Chris

Hi Dawnie,
Cute Pic! The pics I took were all taken in Michigan! It was a wonderful trip and not that far. If you look on your handy road map, we passed into Michigan from Peshtigo( you know the fire town) and into Marinette, Mi. From there, we went to Escanaba and Marquette and then over to The Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We then went way up to the tip and came back down to Mackinac Island ( a must see). We then went down to Traverse City area another must see. I found the tour idea in Midwest Living. You can also take the ferry over from Two Rivers I think, (the SS Badger) and its shorter but we enjoyed the drive. We've taken the ferry before and that's fun too. Hope this helps this was our 2nd choice trip last summer, we decided to stay closer because of gas prices but it was one of our best. Have a great day! Cindy

Good Morning Dawnie... What a great picture of you & Miss Ellie... Looked like you were having sooooo much fun. I would love to spend just 1 winter somewhere really cold... You know here in Central Florida it really doesn't get that cold... Maybe the lowest this year was 30 at night... and it only last for a few days... My daughter is being plagued with ICE storms... I would rather fight the snow... Have a good one... Love Ya

Hi Dawnie, It's been so cold that I really needed that reminder! That Ellie sure is a cutie! Thanks for visiting my blog...I'm not very far from you...I'm in Brookfield. The little raggedy dolls that I have on ebay are all made by me...the auctions are for the dolls. Now I'm off to read your blog.
