Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

I made these tonight and I"m telling ya these are GOOD! I havent had a cookie this good in a LONGGGG TIME! Baldyman and I had a hard time stopping eating them and Genie LOVES cookies right out of the oven and even she was drooling as I pulled them out. If your looking for a little snack, thats pretty easy to make--here ya go!

1 Cup Butter Crisco Shortning
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
1/1/2 Cups Flour
1 Tsp Baking Soda
3 Cups Oatmeal

I tossed in some Raisins and some pecans I had laying around. Bake at 350 and Grab yourself an Ice Cold Glass of Milk and Enjoy!

I love oatmeal cookies. I took the easy way out for New Year's and I bought the packaged cookie dough for our dessert where you just break apart the pieces and put them on a cookie sheet. I'm sure they weren't as tasty as home made but gosh darn, they were very easy and they tasted yummy!

Oatmeal raisin cookies are always great. They were a staple in my home when we grew up. I like your idea of tossing whatever else you have a hand.

Your cookies sound so good. Can't wait to make them. Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog, but you are still young, so enjoy every minute of every day. The time will pass more quickly than you realize. Savor every moment, with family, with friends, and doing things you love. You are creating precious memories.

Happy new year '09.
