Our First Snowfall!

Can we say SNOW DAY REAL LOUD? I am so happy! Today was our first major snowfall AND of course that means NO WORK! YIPEEEEE....I had Christmas Cookies in the oven by 7 AM and baked this morning. Then I made a huge pot of Chili, Taco Meat, cleaned the house and now I'm bored! I wanted to go Christmas Shopping but the power is out in many places. Not sure how much we got--but I'm guessing close to 10 inches.

My little snowman didnt fare to well with this wet heavy snow, but Baldyman went out cleaned him off and now he's standing proud. Bad thing about these types of snowfalls is by tonight we will be greeted with temps of 25-30 BELOW zero. That is hard to take.

Have any of you been greeted with Old Man Winter yet?

I'm so jealous! I love snow, but we haven't seen one single flake yet. It's very clear, cold & windy here today.

Enjoy your day!

I live in sunny Ca. and its been in the 20s here at nite the last couple days and brrrrrrrrrr. And the other day I woke up to some snow! Now Ive seen it snow here but it comes down and usually doesnt stick. Or if it does its gone in 10min. But the other day my hot tub and gazebo were snow topped.....and it hung around awhile. I even took a picture. Not a blizzard but close enough for me right now. It was nice to see. :)

Hi Dawnie,
It's done snowing here but the wind is awful! I think we got about 15 inches!!! Isn't that something! I love your snow guy, he is just the cutest! Stay warm, us Northern girls have to be tough!! Hugs, Cindy

Hi Dawn,
Your snowman looks like my Hubby when he has to venture out in the cold. :)

It looks beautiful, but your temps are rough. We don't usually get down that cold until Jan. or Feb.

Sounds like you had a great snow day!

Yes..., first snow in coastal Rhode Island on Wed..., followed by rain, and now back to sunshine! So not too cold. And no snow in sight to build a snowman!
