Easter is on its way!

I love this bunny that hangs above my french doors.  She's full of color, reminds me of spring and she's free flowing.

I purchased this large bunny a couple of years ago from Pier 1 Imports.  She holds candy for the grandchildren when they come over.

The fireplace mantel is freshened up for Spring also.  I didnt do as much as I normally do this year.  Energy level isnt quite there yet.  I'm happy that I"m back at things and doing fairly well. I dont know if any of you have noticed but it seems the stores just arent carrying much these days.  I think they are spooked about the economy and dont want to get stuck holding all kinds of leftover merchandise.  I get that, but at least could they carry something different and unique????  Where I live there arent many choices to shop..so its very limited.  My favorite place is normally Target, they carry alot of seasonal merchandise and its usually quite different.  This year, i didnt feel they had much.  Oh well, I guess that means I'll hang onto my money for the "hopeful" vacations I may get this year.  In 2 weeks we plan to drive to Oklahoma to visit our son.  I'm looking forward to the drive and change of scenery.  I'm getting quite tired of doctor appts and treatment and this whole new life "cancer".  I want to put it away in a box and never have it come out again.  Is that possible?

Blogger is having MAJOR issues this morning. I tried multiple times to post a comment on Nancys blog and Lauries..with no luck. Hopefully if you come by, you will see this and know I tried. I shall keep trying!

Hi Dawn, I enjoy your blog. I think you should do what you can to enjoy life. Not because you have cancer, but because none of us know the number of days we have left. Be encouraged, my friend!
God bless, Beth

May I say that your spirit is just beautiful every time I come visit you. Your home looks so pretty with the Easter touches. My home looks like a MESS as we started to paint the kitchen walls before the new fridge came and then since we had to move some furniture so the fridges could get out and in easily, I realized I truly wanted to move the furniture around, but am waiting for this Friday, hehe. Hubby goes to his weekly and monthly meeting and it is so much easier to "Play house" alone here. I move things around by "Passion and instinct", hubby with his yardstick, tape measure etc etc. It is a total, guy/woman difference and I am not moving anything that needs a man to lift, but things I can push (couches, chair and tables I can lift or drag etc) So stuff is out of the drawers etc and I never do just one room as they all flow into each other so.......if I can hang on another three days (I am casual/laid back in my home, but this borders on "messes" hehe) I will be fine. Hubby has his very own man cave/office and is happy as a clam for a couple days of walking thru the mess to get a cup of coffee etc etc. Also I think a trip to see your son is so exciting and will be a wonderful change of pace for you, not to mention seeing your son and getting those hugs every mom needs. Lastly, may I say how I love your river rock fireplace. Oh my reminds me of the huge double sided fireplace in the cabin we stayed for my 60th bday in colorado. I just love yours to pieces. I could hang out so easily at your home. BTW we are also praying about a road trip back "home" to Albany, NY mid April. Still iffy with costs, more no than yes, at this point but the Lord has not ruled it out so we keep trying to figure out how to go as thriftly as possible, hehe. You have a wonderful day and your positive spirit is such a blessing to all of us and it tells your "cancer" it will not defeat you, you are gonna defeat it and send it packing! Thanks you for the kind words on my post about my dad. After dad landed in the US and was off that plane, he never would fly anywhere again. Drove or took the train when needed. Blessings to you.

The bunny hanging over the French doors is adorable!
I know what you mean about the lack of decorations in the stores this year.
I think I'll be filling baskets with spring flowering bulbs this year.

You always decorate so well. And I agree the stores are not stocking much these days. Retail stores are doing poorly over here as people are not wanting to spend money. I understand how your life has been turned upside down at the moment and you have lots of appointments. Yes it is consuming I am sure. Stay strong and keep writing about it. I wish I wrote more personal stuff on my blog but I don't much for some reason. You have a wonderful attitude that will hold you in good stead. Believe in you. Xx
