A Real Award!

I didnt thief it! Thank you Bridget for thinking of me! I feel good I didnt have to go stealing when everyone is sleeping in Blogland. Here's her link for those of you who havnt visisited her blog. Its a great blog--I love her humor and I love the pink stuff she referred a while back for our faces....well mine because its getting so old! I'm all over the place tonight arent I?

Its been an interesting night to say the least. I wanted to go Christmas Shopping but Baldyman wanted to go visit our favorite bartender since he will be quitting at the end of this month. Well I behaved since I was going to be driving...but Baldyman put on his ridiculous Penquin Christmas Hat and well...he didnt behave. I wanted to leave him there--but I couldnt find the perfect time to sneak out. We came home for a bit--and then Peter wanted him to come back and spend some man time together. I was SOOOO happy to drop him off. Believe me, I love the guy and all but I LOVE having him gone to! Now I can play on the computer, hog the bed, watch what I want--YEEHAAWWWW!!! NOW..how did I get to here???? I was talking about the award! I gotta go finish that.

Empty Lake

Well folks, this may very well be most of your only chance to ever see an empty lake. This summer Lake Delton emptied out in Wisconsin Dells Wisconsin. I'm sure many of you read about it in the news. The levee broke and the lake was gone. This top picture is where the Tommy Bartlett Water Ski show normally is. The lake is now growing grass. They expect by next Spring to have the lake repaired and filled again.
This is Peter, our favorite bartender. He went along camping for a day with us this past Labor Day Weekend. k, I'm trying to look only at the lake because Peter is my absolute dream guy.....and if......oh well, gotta back to the lake right?
He is standing at a place where some water remains...but nothing what they need to boat, ski, etc. They are repairing the breach now and I guess its pretty closed up. I wish I had a picture of the breach. It was amazing, the entire road was gone, just gone. It was like a bomb was dropped and pulled out the middle of the road. That was what held the lake in. I dont think they are doing it that way again. Some businesses lost 80% of their income this year due to this. It was amazing to see, but also very sad. The lake is a huge part of this favorite tourist spot. Sad to say, but we made it thru didnt we? Mother Nature really showed us her strength this summer.

Rock Party....Literally!

Welcome to Peters Garden. For months now
I've been saving rocks sent to me from
various friends on the internet for this
annual tradition our favorite bartender has.
To enter his garden you must bring a rock,
dosnt matter the size or kind. He places them
around a circle by the fireplace which is at
the end of the garden. You are entering the
beginning of the garden here.

Next stop would be his wishing well that he built
for the Rock party. Each stone was laid by hand
with no pattern being used.

as you continue walking thru various paths, you
will find vegetable patches, fruit patches and
flowers. Candles hang from trees, perched
along side fences. On the hand laid stone paths
you will see garden sayings, pretty stones
and various other garden ornaments.
Here is the end of the garden, where the circle
of rocks is located. You can see the river in
the distance. His garden was an absolute joy
to be in and it definitely gave me inspiration
for next Springs gardening season. For anyone
looking for a place to soothe your soul and find
peace and serenity,,,find a beautiful garden to
walk thru...there's nothing like it!
