Look at what arrived yesterday! My little Spa Ducks. I have a pretty neat collection now of these little fellas. I never knew you could get so many various kinds of ducks. The Valentines one and the one in fur are so tiny its funny. The fur just about buries the one duck. I think I need to start checking the measurements of some things!
This here is my dining room set now. This table is about 25 years old. The Chairs could use some work but the table itself is in pretty good shape. I normally have a tablecloth on it--but after Baldyman's birthday dinner the cloth was in pretty bad shape. So I figured since its leaving here tomorrow night--I will shine it up and enjoy it for acouple of days. Our oldest son is taking this so its still in the family. We've had many fun, happy meals around this table. Our children grew up on this table. Many relatives that are now gone sat here with us and enjoyed holiday dinners, birthday dinners. Many of you know how that is--Memories!

Yes, I know the feelings of sending furniture on it's way to it's next home. I lost my Mom 10 years ago, and got her dining room set. It was the last gift my Dad gave my Mom before he died back in 1965. It worked in the other house, but looked like dollhouse furniture here. So reality hit, and my niece said she wanted it, so out it went. And I got a NEW ONE! And I love it.
Organizing. I love it. But it does take a certain frame of mind, persistence and willpower! Maybe if I didn't enjoy cooking and eating so much . . .
HAGD!
I've been really really busy this last week, so I'm way behind with the blogs, I'm so happy you got your dining set and can't wait to see it. I like your old one, by the way. I'm going to copy that recipe in my folder to.
Hugs,
Chris
Good Morning Dawn.... You know I have a hard time parting with things... My furniture I had for 35 years when we decided to go full time in Tassie... My oldest daughter wanted our dining room set and my youngest wanted the bedroom... so it is still around for me to see... But I do miss it at times... you know like you said memories.... I bet you are excited about the new set... Have a great day... Love ya

I have been weeding out some of my furniture to children's homes and it does feel funny as many of them are really old but I just need to empty up and make some space in my little home. Yes I know about memories and hope all of yours are nice ones.
Happy Tuesday from

Love those ducks!
I'd love to get new dining room furniture. Maybe someday my daughter will want mine and I can get something new.
it is a sentimental thing! I know how you feel...we have our first set out in the garage...and I won't let it go yet...maybe in 20 years when My kids are older they will want it! lol
enjoy the last bit of time...before your new beauty shows up.,..and you forget all about this table set!
It looks similiar to my old table and chairs. I got a new set a few years ago, and it's still in good condition, but I sure wish I could get something else....my tastes have changed. lol.
I love it that the table is going to stay in the family. Mom was talking about getting rid of hers, and Sis and I nearly had a stroke! So we are going to refinish it for her when we re-do her kitchen. Can't wait to see your new one, glad you found just the right thing. Kathy
I love those spa ducks! The red polka dotted duck is my favorite! That's nice your dining set gets to stay in the family! The set I have at the cabin is from my grandfather and I cherish it.
P.S. Tonight I'm going to break into that "calming tea" in my giveawy stash. Cheers to you!
Cute little duckies. I love keeping things in the family too. My kids have my old bedroom set. I'm excited to see your new dining set.
GM Dawn. I wanted to tell you to come by, I have an award for you.
Hugs,
Chris

It must be the stage of our lives to finally let go of things. My kids have all moved out with my first set of dishes. Cant wait to see the new dining room set. That cake lookedso yummy..we love angel food cakes too...with chocolate frosting for my hubby, with strawberries for my daughter and with butter brickle frosting for me. Connie
